See how Rio's largest favela works from the inside: its streets, hillside logistics, local businesses, art, viewpoints, and everyday life.
Final price depends on group size, date, route length, and optional experiences.
This is a close look at a complex urban neighborhood, not an action-movie version of favela life. You will see how people move around the hillside, how commerce and services work, and how dense construction, art, and community life fit together. The visit is paced respectfully and adapted to current local conditions.
Meet at the agreed exit of Sao Conrado metro station. We send exact directions and confirm the start time before the visit.
Begin with the transport used every day on Rocinha's steep streets, riding to an upper point before continuing on foot.
Descend through lanes and stairways while learning about daily logistics, housing, shops, services, and the neighborhood's place in Rio.
Stop at selected viewpoints and street-art locations. A small gallery visit may be included when it is open and suits the route.
Rocinha is a living neighborhood, so the route is never treated as a fixed attraction. Timing and stops may change with weather, local events, access, and street conditions.
The visit only runs with arranged accompaniment. Do not enter separately or leave the agreed route during the tour.
Expect steep streets, narrow passages, uneven steps, and a moto-taxi ride. Comfortable closed shoes are strongly recommended.
The standard route finishes near the original meeting point. Morning or afternoon timing is confirmed for your date.

The popular rooftop video is a separate add-on and must be arranged in advance. It cannot normally be added after you arrive because each filming point has its own schedule, access rules, and wait.
Availability depends on wind and weather. Some well-known rooftops can have waits of two hours or more, reaching four to five hours on peak dates even with advance booking. Send us the exact social-media clip or viewpoint you have in mind so we can identify the right location.
Send your date, group size, hotel area, and whether you are interested in the standard walk or the drone-video add-on.
